Step 1: Create Your Account
Head to bytempo.xyz/signup and enter your email. You'll get immediate access — no credit card required for the free tier.
Step 2: Set Your Capacity
Tempo asks how much time you can dedicate to sales each week. Be honest here — it's better to start small and increase than to over-commit and feel behind.
Capacity Guidelines

Don't know? Start with 5 hours — you can always adjust in Settings.
Step 3: Describe What You're Selling
Enter your company website and Tempo's AI will auto-fill:
- Your product/service description
- Target customer profile (ICP)
- Key value propositions
Review and edit as needed. This info powers personalized email drafts and lead scoring.
Step 4: Choose Your Sales Motion
Tell Tempo how you typically sell:
- Inbound: Leads come to you (marketing, referrals, inbound requests)
- Outbound: You reach out cold (email, LinkedIn, calls)
- Both: A mix of inbound and outbound
You'll also select your primary outreach channels (email, LinkedIn, phone, etc.) and typical deal size.
Not sure? Check "I don't know yet" and Tempo will use balanced defaults. You can refine later.
Step 5: Import Existing Leads (Optional)
If you have prospects in a spreadsheet, you can import them now:
Format: company_name, website, industry, employee_count, location, notes
Format: first_name, last_name, email, company, job_title, linkedin_url, phone, notes
Download the templates from the onboarding screen, fill them out, and upload. Tempo will match contacts to companies automatically.
No existing leads? Skip this step — you'll add leads during your first "Find Leads" session.
Step 6: Start Your First Session
You're now on the dashboard. Here's what to do:
- Look at "Your Week at a Glance" — this shows suggested focus areas by day
- Select a focus: Find Leads, Outreach, or Nurture
- Set your time: 15, 30, 45, or 60 minutes
- Click "Start Session"
Tempo generates a task queue and starts a timer. Work through the tasks, mark them complete, and you're off to the races.
Pro Tips for Your First Week
Do This
- Start small: One 15-minute session is better than skipping a planned 2-hour block
- Be consistent: Same time every day builds habit (morning works best for most people)
- Trust the queue: Tempo orders tasks by priority — work top to bottom
- Log everything: Notes on companies help AI personalize future outreach
Avoid This
- Don't over-research: 3 minutes per lead is enough for first touch
- Don't perfect emails: Good enough sent beats perfect unsent
- Don't skip the timer: Time-boxing prevents rabbit holes
- Don't import 1000 leads: Start with 20-50 quality targets
What Happens Next
As you use Tempo, you'll see:
- Leads moving through your pipeline (Discovery → Review → Active)
- Response rates and engagement metrics
- Weekly progress vs. goals
- AI suggestions getting smarter based on what works
After a week of consistent sessions, you'll have real data to optimize your approach.
